Over the course of September our band shifted into a new gear. The plans for our first studio album are finally here and they are shaping up to make for something beautiful, or so we believe. The making of an album is quite the process and attention to detail is important. It's more than just writing songs as a band and playing them as best we can. On this journey, we want to involve our fans as much as possible. We would love to share not only our music but also the experiences, events, struggles and victories we go through in making this album. This is why, every month, we will share a blogpost with you guys on this site!

Our first album has been in the making for a long time, We feel now is the perfect time to involve our fans in this project. The beginning of our journey was marked by some important meetings, where we had the chance to involve some of our friends and fans from the start. Plans were shared and all of us felt excitement for what is to come over the next few months...

In the past month, the arrangements for our songs went into a state of perfecting. The dynamics of the songs and the musical nuances are a huge part of our sound, and we were given a chance to work on this. It felt great to hear the music come together

We also received the first drafts of the artwork... Chilean artist Gonzalo Valencia Figueroa, who also plays in the amazing band 'la sciencia simple' was intrigued by our project and agreed to dedicate himself to creating a compelling visual story to pair with our music. Sneak peek real soon! First samples of Vinyl pressing and booklets were also received, which is another huge part of the album. Why bother going through al the hard work creating an album when the final product looks unprofessional? We will make sure it won't, and we have a good feeling about it already.

Another major part of our energy was dedicated to te production of our very first videoclip! Brainstorms and creative sessions led to a cooperation with Belgian professional dancer Sytske Van Wesemael, who is a great friend of ours and a huge talent. We are freakishly excited about this!!

At the end of the month, we were invited by deaftone studio for a visit and a chance to rehearse our songs at the location (pic below).

The visit gave us a first feeling for the place soundwise, but we also got to experience the atmosphere of the studio, which we feel is very important. Our producer Jannes Van Rossem is a focused, yet relaxed guy and we feel he really cares about our music, rather than wanting to record a 'product'. We hope he'll get to be really invested in the music because in a way the album will become one of his babies, just like it will become one of ours!

Stay tuned for the next update!
