Album update // NOVEMBER

Wassup peeps! November was a crazy month!

First of all, WE DID IT! Massive thanks for supporting our kickstarter! In the end we managed to gather 1465 euros which is enough to realize our first album 'ABCD'. We are extremely excited.

Now regarding the album, this month we been VERY busy in the studio. Blood, sweat, blistered fingers, a healthy amount of frustration and buckets of french fries: we had a blast in the studio. Having the chance to submerge ourselves into our own music and then experimenting upon this, was amazing. For the first time we were also able to use synthesizers (OLDSKOOL KORG MS20!!) and everything is already sounding HUGE.

The choreography for our videodisc is coming along nicely. With this, the opportunity to experiment in a creative process also proves its worth. So often people are stuck in preparations and execution, analysis en synthesis. The ability to stray away from this is not necessarily bad and can often lead to beautiful things. Perhaps this sound weird to many, but I feel like the creation of music works in the same way. You have an idea and you should build upon this, creating structure and layers, but at a certain point you should be able to look at the construction and say: we are tearing it down because it is crooked. We should try something else. I really feel like we accomplished this in the process of writing our album.

Starting December of (I know the title says November but we are rebels) we organized a small kickstarter closing party. This also gave many people the opportunity to support us by buying drinks and ordering the record in person. We had great fun and also found a cool (literally) spot to perform, Ell Circo d'ell Fuego in Antwerp. Check it out below!
